We headed down to Llyn Padarn to catch golden hour, just before sunset and it was glorious. Just catching the glow through the trees at the lake made for some really dreamy photographs. We took a walk down to Llyn Peris’ famous tree, that everyone snaps a photo of when they visit the lake. By this time it was quiet and perfect for capturing some relaxed & natural images of the newlyweds.

Now we are really getting to the good bit…The couple are pretty adventurous and outdoorsy and wanted to include this part of them into their wedding photos. Being keen stand up paddle boarders meant that getting these photos in their wedding outfits was an absolute must. And I was all up for it.

I have to thank Lisa & Will for involving me in one of the funnest shoots I’ve shot. Should I tell you how I got these shots or leave you wondering? No drone was involved…

Paddling out on our own SUP, the husband and I (seated -I might add) captured these epic shots of Lisa & Will. I know Lisa & Will will cherish these forever. Completely worth it!

Even if you are going to Llyn Padarn just for a visit (and not an amazing photoshoot with myself), I would highly recommend getting out there on the lake one way or the other. You can rent stand up paddle boards at the lake itself or bring your own SUP. The water is amazing clear for swimming and on the south side of the lake there are lots of lagoon pools with trees overhanging and shallow areas if you are coming with the family.
