Pennard House Wedding, Shepton Mallet, Somerset

Lauren & Jack tied the knot at a beautiful outdoor ceremony on a scorcher of a July day last summer at Pennard House. Lauren & Jack had lots of personal, special touches throughout their day. One beautiful touch was Lauren wearing her mother’s wedding dress. It was transformed into a pinafore Lauren wore during the meal.

I love that Lauren and Jack married their way. They chose to skip the official cake cutting (or beautiful macaron tower, I should say) and the first dance. The couple kept the elements they wanted and ignored traditions that didn’t hold meaning for them. It felt really special and personal!

Pennard House is a beautiful Georgian manor house in the Somerset countryside with an abundance of green spaces and rose gardens with a stunning view over the rolling countryside. The Somerset wedding venue has many luxury bedrooms, a grand bridal suite, dining room, conservatory, a library and drawing rooms. The central Jacobean part of the house was built between 1600 and 1620. In 1815, they added two more wings.

PENNARD HOUSE REVIEW – THE STAFF ARE SUPERB

I have to say the team at Pennard House are truly fantastic. They pour so much love into the wedding day and couldn’t do enough to support me as I worked on the day and the bride and groom in their celebration. They really set the tone of the day – with their very calm manner whilst still being super organised. I would highly recommend Pennard House to anyone considering tying the knot at this beautiful wedding venue!
