Cardiff Castle & St Teilos Wedding

When Caroline & Christian shared their plans to have their day at Cardiff Castle, I was very excited to return. I am so in love with the interior of Cardiff Castle. If you’ve been and loved the grounds without going inside, you’ve got to go back to see inside because it’s the icing on the cake. Or even better, get married there so I can enjoy it again! The castle was designed by William Burgess in 1881, with the interior heavily influenced by Moorish design. The best part of newlywed photos at Cardiff Castle is having access to the ‘Arab room’ which is normally off limits to the public. It’s definitely the jewel in Cardiff Castle’s crown with kaleidoscope-like gold leaf ceilings, marble tiles and intricate stain glass. The whole castle really does make for a spectacular backdrop for wedding photos.

Caroline & Christian started their day with a beautiful ceremony at St Teilos Church in Cardiff before taking their VW camper onto Cardiff Castle for their reception. The newlyweds had their reception in the beautiful banqueting room and then onto the undercroft for the first dance. Congratulations Caroline and Christian, thank you for letting me be a part of your day; a beautiful day to match the venue!
