When Caroline & Christian told me about their plans to have their day at Cardiff Castle, I was very excited to return. I am so in love with the interior of Cardiff Castle. If you’ve been and loved the grounds without going inside, you’ve got to go back to see inside because it’s the icing on the cake. Better yet get married there so I can enjoy it again! The castle was designed by William Burgess in 1881 and was heavily influenced by Moorish design. An extra special part of getting married at the Castle is that newlyweds get access to the famous ‘Arab room’ which is normally off limits to the public. It’s definitely the jewel in Cardiff Castle’s crown with kaleidoscope-like gold leaf ceilings, marble tiles and intricate stain glass. Caroline & Christian started their day with a beautiful ceremony at St Teilos Church in Cardiff before taking their VW camper onto Cardiff Castle for their reception. The newlyweds and their wedding guests had their meal and speeches in the beautiful banqueting room and then onto the undercroft for the first dance. Congratulations Caroline and Christian, thank you for letting me be a part of your day; a beautiful day to match the venue!
