Engagement shoots are the way forward. It’s the perfect way to get used to having your portrait taken in preparation for the big day. As well as this it’s a great way to get to know me as your photographer (and vice versa). You get to see how I work pre-wedding so that side of the wedding day nerves can be settled & the day can run smoothly. Having that insight into your relationship means I can better capture your day as I’ve had a chance to get to know you both a little more.

WHY HAVE AN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT?

Treat an engagement shoot like the perfect chance for you and your partner to learn to relax a little in front of the camera. It isn’t every day you have a professional photographer following you around and the idea of this can be daunting for most people! Having an engagement shoot will allow you to relax into being in front of the camera and get used to pretending the camera isn’t there before the wedding day. It’s a op to get over the first-hurdle-nerves and dare I say it, actually enjoy it!

WHAT TO EXPECT

I love the natural moments between couples so I let them unravel organically as we wander around our beautifully natural location. There will be points where I will guide you especially if you’re feeling a little unsure in the moment. But mostly I love to go with documenting your natural connection and would never make you pose uncomfortably. I like to use prompts and games to make my couples feel at ease & get some natural giggles.

GET TO KNOW ME

I’m down-to-earth & easy-going and really want to make your photo sessions as relaxed and fun as possible. Once you know me you’ll know – anything other than making people comfortable is not really in my vocabulary. ‘Nerve-inducing’ has never been me! That’s why it’s great to know that in advance because it takes away any inch of nerves around sharing this important day with me. Once the mystery’s over you can breathe easy and realise I’m going to be nothing but positive energy, your cheerleader, problem solver and more than likely ceremony-tear-shedder!

The flip side of that is that I get to know you too. I honestly meet the loveliest couples in my work & its so special to share this day with you. Meeting you sooner means getting to know that little bit more about you so that I can better document your day, knowing that much more about your story.

20 edited photos downloadable from an online gallery.
The option to see the whole gallery, choose your favourites & add on extras.
The location of the shoot is completely up to you, your favourite woodland walk or if you’d like guidance I have some beautiful spots in mind.
