Bristol City Centre Wedding & Chinese Tea ceremony, Dragon Delicacy
BRISTOL CITY CENTRE WEDDING & CHINESE TEA CEREMONY

Kevin & Jane tied the knot on a gloriously hot summer day’s day in Bristol city centre. The lovely bride & groom had an intimate ceremony at Bristol Registry Office / The Old Council House with their nearest & dearest. Followed by a tea ceremony with their family & friends at Dragon Delicacy.

Bristol Registry Office, formerly known as The Old Council House, was built in the 1820s and is a Grade II listed building steeped in history. It offers several ceremony rooms, each with its own distinct character, including the Bristol Room, the Lantern Room, the Grand Council Chamber and the Mayoral Room. The couple chose the Mayoral Room—an elegant yet intimate space featuring rich red walls, wood panelling, and an ornate fireplace. Portraits of former Bristol mayors watch over ceremonies. It’s the perfect choice for couples drawn to period drama and who want a touch of Victorian decadence on their wedding day.

The sandstone streets surrounding Bristol Registry Office provide a beautiful setting for post-ceremony wedding portraits & family shots. After the ceremony, we took a walk round College Green for their couple portraits. Bristol Cathedral & the surrounding sandstone buildings of College Green create a timeless backdrop, ideal for capturing great portraits of the couple.

We then headed over to Dragon Delicacy, to meet more of their loved ones & celebrate with the traditional Chinese tea ceremony. The couple treated their guests (and me) to a delicious multi course feast.

Jane had the most beautiful dresses, opting to start the day in white lace, later changing into a traditional Chinese outfit for the tea ceremony and ending the day in a beautiful red lace dress.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful day with me – it was such a pleasure to be a part of!
