Jade & Anthony got married at the fairy-tale venue that is Pencoed House Estate. Pencoed House Estate is located north west of Cardiff in the heart of the South Wales countryside and really is a special wedding venue steeped in a lot of history and folklore. On reaching the entrance of Pencoed House Estate, you are met by a beautiful tree lined driveway making the sweetest arched entranceway leading to the house. Built in the early 15th century, Pencoed House Estate is one of the oldest properties in Glamorgan. The gothic stone arch is believed to be a hint at the house starting its life as a small monastery.

The estate was famously once home to the descendants of a King of Glamorgan and legend has it that even King Arthur stayed here! Nowadays the grand banqueting hall still has it’s original stone walls, a vaulted ceiling and the cosiest log fire that means a winter wedding is definitely on the cards for couples that prefer a cooler day. The venue also boasts the option of a marque in the beautiful orchard for larger wedding parties.

Jade & Anthony exchanged their vows in front of their loved ones in the banqueting hall then moved outside to relax on the front lawn surrounded by trees. The grounds really are beautiful with thirty-six acres of well-kept lawns, orchards, flower gardens, a brook and woodland that ensure couples have so much choice for beautiful spots to take wedding photographs, we were spoilt for choice! The couple’s wedding party were on top form on the day busting-a-move for the camera; Jade & Anthony’s joy was definitely shared by their friends and family.
