TAUNTON REGISTRY OFFICE & THE PUMP HOUSE WEDDING, WELLINGTON, SOMERSET

Sophie & James got married at Taunton registry office, The Municipal Buildings in Somerset, with a small group of their nearest and dearest. Originally built as grammar school in 1522, Taunton registry office has plenty of historic features; stained glass windows, Victorian tiled floors, Tudor beams & a vast oak staircase. The couple opted for my micro wedding photography coverage suiting the intimate celebration they wanted for their wedding day. After the ceremony, the wedding party headed to Wellington to celebrate further at The Pump House.

The newlyweds had their reception close to Taunton at The Pump House in Wellington. The Pump House is a Grade II listed building, a part of the rich history of Somerset & Wellington’s vast textile industry heritage. The Pump House is tastefully decorated with retro & recycled furnishings & large windows that let in that dramatic light. The venue has a courtyard overlooked by The Pump House’s iconic, monumental chimney.

Where possible the food at The Pump House is sourced from local suppliers from the surrounding area. The chef created a glorious spread of mezze received enthusiastically by the guests & myself.

The newlyweds had a vintage butter cream wedding cake & with fresh flowers & an alternative real cheese cake tower which is always a crowd pleaser on a wedding day.

Congratulations, Sophie & James – thank you for including me!
