Cefn Onn park wedding shoot

Introducing these two childhood sweethearts, Blazica & Canute. Initially the couple tied-the-knot during lockdown in 2020. The restrictions at the time meant they could only have a few friends and family involved in the day. With minimal photos on the day, the couple were keen for a post wedding shoot. They wanted to celebrate and capture in their way and in the setting they wanted. We took a wander through Cefn Onn park in Cardiff and got some beautifully natural images. Congratulations to Blazica & Canute!

More and more couples are opting to have their portrait session after the wedding day; where you can give the day, your friends and family the attention they deserve and still get the photo experience you want. You don’t have to choose between enjoying time with your guests and your wedding photos. Take the pressure off and consider a shoot a few days later. A post-wedding shoot means you can capture the two of you and your relationship with no time pressure. Giving time separately to your wedding day means you can really relax into the process.
I love to take my newlywed couples to natural beauty spots that just may not have been feasible to visit on the day itself. We can go on a hike to a waterfall in the Brecon Beacons or take a wander at sunset on the beach. If it’s important for you to return to the venue, I’ve found most are very accommodating with returning newlyweds. A few days after your wedding day is normally an ideal time or just after you’ve returned from your honeymoon. Your memories from your wedding day are still fresh in your mind but this time it’s all about you two.
