Hannah & Josh tied the knot at Peterstone Lakes – right on the border of Cardiff & Newport. Peterstone Lakes is close to the Welsh coastal path & a part of Gwent’s living levels. A great option for any couple looking for the perfect countryside wedding venue whilst still being easily accessible from both Cardiff and Newport – a short 15-20 minute drive from both cities.
The venue is surrounded by beautiful trees and manicured greens. The lake itself is a great spot for photographs with lots of wild life including herons and cormorants making an appearance. The staff drive you to the ideal photo spots in a golf buggy, speeding up the process and making sure the area is clear of golfers before taking photographs!
The venue has the benefit of having two function rooms, both upstairs and downstairs. With a large space downstairs for functions and a more intimate space upstairs with wooden beams and great natural light for ceremonies. Hannah & Josh were originally going to have a small do with no photographer. But on hearing this their families rallied together to make sure they booked one – knowing the importance of great wedding day photos! The wedding was a real family affair with much of the details being crafted by their nearest and dearest. Including the flowers & cake made by friends & family of the newlyweds. Congratulations to a lovely couple!
