Dinorwig quarry, Snowdonia elopement shoot

Massively appreciate when couples are willing to get their walking boots on (under the dress) to get that shot…

Lisa & Will married on Lisa’s parents’ farm but they were so keen for a shoot around Snowdonia they came to meet me for a bit of an adventure…

Dinorwig (or Dinorwic) quarry is an amazing sight and an absolute must-see if you are visiting Llanberis, North Wales. Snowdon is the draw to Llanberis but there’s so much more to explore around the lake that you’ve got to make time for it! There’s a multitude of different tracks to explore the quarry and the vastness of it makes it feel like a proper adventure. The rows of slate houses (pictured), named the Anglesey Barracks, are where miners from Anglesey stayed during their work week. The view over Llanberis, Llyn Peris & Llyn Padarn is breathtaking and the absolute perfect spot to get some fantastic images.

Lisa & Will’s willingness to hike up and down the track to get to this viewpoint was 10/10. No stunningly long train could hold Lisa back! I so appreciate when couples are up for getting their walking boots on (under the dress) to get the shot! My only ask is that someone else books me to come back to North Wales because it is the best and there’s so much to explore. And that’s coming from a South Wales girl!

After this we headed down to the lake, Llyn Padarn (Lake Padarn), for a very exciting activity. Follow the link to find out what came next…
